The first 6 TB SSD drive already in July
Fixstars announces the launch of three brand new SSDs this year. One of them is expected to offer up to 6 TB capacity and will be one of the largest such drives available for sale. This product is intended for professional use and, given its price, will not appear on home computers.
More and more PC users are installing SSDs on their hardware, which are definitely faster than standard magnetic drives. Their disadvantage is the high price and small capacity, although models are beginning to appear, which in terms of capacity equal to the typical disk drives.
Fixstars will launch three new 2.5 "SSDs, namely 1000M, 3000M, and 6000M SSDs in July. As you might expect, the drive symbols indicate their capacities. The first two models are 1 TB, 3 TB with 19nm flash memory and a 6 Gbps interface.
The 6000M is a 6TB capacity drive with 15nm technology. The drive will also use the SATA 6 Gbps interface, and the data transfer rate and read speed will be 520 MB / s and 540 MB / s, respectively.
